Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong
Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong Water is a new song created for Psych Lovers Against Cancer Vol. II compilation. Video below.
Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong Water
Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong Water is stoner rock all the way and it is stoney and spacey. The intro has a sampled interview with a man and woman talking about using cannabis. Snakes Don’t belong In Alaska has a very heavy psychedelic take on the stoner rock sound.
Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong Water is a slow burner with drudge bass and slow stead drumming. the guitars play lead lined with fuzz and wah. The vocals are psyched out with echo and reverb taking stoner rock phrasing and lyrical themes. Throughout the track the synth is making subtle tones over top opening psychedelic space.
Snakes Don’t Belong In Alaska – Electric Bong Water is the first distance recording the band has made. This required them to use a complete new approach to song writing. normally the band improvises but here they had to work track by track. The new process is a success! The song is great with stoner themes and vibes all the way. I felt high just listening to those stoned out riffs and the spacey synths lines over top for a alien feel.
Pysch Lovers Against Cancer Compilation
This feels like a good time to expand on the Pysch Lovers Against Cancer Compilation. The first volume was put out by Psych Lovers a forum of people who love buying, making, promoting, distributing psychedelic rock music. They decided to organize these folks together and get submissions from labels and artists with the intention of the music being donated to help raise money to fight cancer. Many member of the music community have suffered from cancer and have passed on due to it.
Pysch Lovers Against Cancer Vol 1 had 78 bands contributing songs and raised thousands of dollars for Macmillan Cancer Support in the UK. Volume 2 is coming soon and they say it will be even more impressive than the first! I am certainly looking forward to investing in that. : )
