The Sound Rays Proto Ray / African Space Program is space rock with slow burning instrumental tracks integrating far-out guitars and eastern modalities. The music is mysterious, enlightening, and space themed. Listen to when night biking, cooking dinner and chilling out anytime of day. This is a great album with great tones and cosmic compositions.
The Sound Rays are from Edinburgh, Scotland and this 7″ vinyl is their first album. It is a excellent debut and sets the stage for years of cosmic jams yet to be. The Sound Rays are Iain MacLeod on guitar, Robert Keir on guitar, Bertie Fritsch playing drums, Rory MacLeod thumping the bass. The album was recorded by the band in Iain Macleod‘s home studio and mixed and mastered by Bertie Fritsch.
The album is available with several handmade versions of the cover are in collage made by the band. The album covers represents the way in which The Sound Rays make their music; it’s DIY and out-of-this-world.
