Oddplay Soundscape is an instrumental stoner space rock album. The guitar echos and oscillates between overdriven tones and saturated fuzz / distotion. The songs are forward looking and rarely get into repetitive riffs clocking in around 3 to 4 minutes each; its amazing how involved these songs are for a duo.
Oddplay Soundscape is a two piece band from Varna, Bulgaria with Itso Nikoloff and Alexander Enev. Soundscape is their third album and focuses more on quality production and premeditated song arrangements. Wonderland, their first album, features more improvisation.
Oddplay Soundscape demonstrates an evolution in their sound. With more focus on studio production the guitars are layered and overdubed and other instruments are sprinkled in. The drums have a big sound and get into some heavy crash and stoner styled percussion.
