This long album has great production and dynamic songs which take the listener for a ride. It combines new age inspirations and space rock with crushing apocalyptic vibrations.
Turtle Skull Monoliths is from Sydney, Australia and is a 5 piece band with the drummer and guitarist sharing the vocals. Their first self-titled EP was released in 2018 and Monolith is the debut full length and its a stunner.
Turtle Skull Monoliths has sections of meditative drone, sluddgy riffs, shoegaze ambiance, space rock and psychedelic rock. The variety of sounds is awesome and all their own. There are few albums ai can point to that sound like this one perhaps Slift, King Gizzard, Kikagaku Moyo, Weeed.
