King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard New Music Video Straws In The Wind KG Vol 2
New cheesy video up from the masters of weirdo psych rock folk music King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard. This is the second single off of the new studio album KG Vol 2 which is up for pre-order now!
This song has microtonal scales giving it an unique world flavor. This is a second outing with microtonal scales the previous effort being the microtonal banana album. The strange melodies give the song all kinds of unique King Gizz exclusive vibes. It touches on middle eastern sounds and beat machine pop.
The guitars are acoustic and have a folky feel on top of a dance beat machine and groove oriented bass lines. The vocals take the lead but the song is very guitar driven.
The music video itself is funny, cheeky, and weird. Looks like it was filmed in a wind storm with debris floating around and the band blowing in the wind. great retro lofi visuals that give it a 80’s 70’s look. They even toss in a few random Casio style keyboard riffs at one point to drive home the retro sheik.
