Black Angels Live At Levitation captures The Black Angels playing music from their early career at Levitation music festival. Everyone knows that The Black Angels put on some of the best live performances around and this is their first live release. This live album shows off their retro rock, dark vibed, reverb drenched rock sound. The guitars are caked in reverb, echo and fuzz. The vocals are clear and splash back with confidence. The drums and bass make a hip shaking hard hit groove. The band specializes in amazing tones and bringing all the 5 members together is a wash of psychedelic sound.
The Black Angels band members are the founders of both Reverberation Appreciation Society and Levitation Music Festival. The Levitation Music festival was started in 2008 and has since featured the worlds psychedelic rock bands large and small. The Black Angels are a staple at these festivals and always find a huge audience for their headlining slot.
Black Angels Live At Levitation starts with the song ‘Manipulation’ featuring a sitar from the Elephant Stone front man. The vocals kick in with echoing glory and the heavy groove begins. There is no way to describe the awesome sounds this band creates you must listen to feel the psychedelic vibes. They play classics like ‘Surf City’, ‘on The Run’ and ‘Young Deadmen’ many songs from their first ground breaking Passover album. They lay on their politically themed lyrics and richly effected vocal harmonies. Christian Bland on guitar has strange effects on his mic that blend beautifully with lead singer, bassist, organist Alex Mass.
Black Angels Live At Levitation is a special treat for fans especially in a year where no bands played live world wide. The Black Angels had no plans for a tour but certainly would have played at Levitation if it was a possible amidst the pandemic. They say that they have a new album recorded and ready to make some announcements regarding its release soon, this is very exciting new as the band does not release bad music ever.
Black Angels Live At Levitation is not to be missed and will live in my collection forever. This is something I personally had been waiting for for many years and it delivers. Make sure to buy the album get a shirt and support the labels and bands.

The page is a one person operation and I want to thank everyone who has helped keep me motivated with your great music and awesome promos. Many thanks to all the viewers how have check out the page I hope you found a bunch of new and awesome music. 2020 was a good year for the page because I was stuck at home and I listened to all the music and discovered new music continuously. I have been a bit busy but doing my best to keep on top of the new releases and the many great artists and labels who take the time to send me emails.
How am I doing you ask? I am well Looking for more opportunities to share my creative talents. I have been writing a new album for my psychedelic rock band Black Satori, we have some exciting news coming soon! I finished up a home recorded full-length solo album and I am determining how to release it to the world. Its a folk rock album with some psychedelic vibes. My other solo albums can be found under Temple Rose. I have been writing for POWmagazine.org which has been a delight some great longer form articles there about music. I am finding new hobbies and looking for more work as well. So it has been difficult to keep up but I appreciate all your support!
