The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol (TBWNIAS) – Berserkir Volume II was released on October 30th 2020 on Cardinal Fuzz (UK) and Feeding Tube Records (USA) on Galaxy Mustard vinyl with a 2A insert and now being reissued on Purple Galaxy for Europe and UK. I picked up a copy of the Galaxy Mustard and it sounds incredible and looks more like smoke with little to no visible mustard color but each disc will be unique.

Well packed and protected from Feeding Tube Records! I enjoyed the additional psychedelic optical print on green paper Always love more art! Plus a chrome shinny sticker with the record label logo very cool!

The album is not shrink wrapped but comes in a reusable plastic cutter sleeve, much appreciated.

I really like the packaging on this album. The artwork is by Brett Savage. The Mustard yellow and Purple two tone cover and back looks awesome with the vicious K-9s and the textured moon. The symbols at the bottom are the actual name of the Band Whose Name Is A Symbol.

The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol (TBWNIAS) – Berserkir Volume II is a psychedelic free form space rock krautrock jam session with non-stop intrigue and brilliant improvisations. TBWNIAS has released over 25 albums and has developed a sixth sense for making music that is innovative experimental and psychedelic rock. Berserkir Volume II is one of my favorites from the band and it shows off all their best assets.

he Band Whose Name Is A Symbol (TBWNIAS) – Berserkir Volume II is the second installment from an extended improvised recording session. Berserkir Volume I came out in March 2020 and was a different flavor from the same cooks. The band is written about as a collective but for this recording they had 6 members. Guitars, drums, saxophone, synth, bass all come together to make rich captivating compositions.

The guitar players use fuzz, wah, echo reverb, vibrato to make interesting sounds and to rock the fuck out. The two guitarists play off each other with seamless instinct and are a highlight in the sound. The guitar solos play over and sit with-in the arrangement bringing the sound to psych rock heaven. The guitars also get very experimental exploring effects and sustained washes.
