Acid Mother Temple & The Melting Paradiso U.F.O. Reverse Of Rebirth In Universe
Acid Mother Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. Reverse Of Rebirth In Universe is here from Riot Season Records. The songs on Reverse Of Rebirth In Universe has quiet moments and clean tones beautifully contrasted with the cosmic insanity known as Acid Mothers Temple. Kawabata Makoto‘s epic dense guitar with freakout feedback noise and free acid jazz explosions are recognizable from other albums with clear evolution. Jyonson Tsu‘s writing singing and guitar bring AMT back to their psychedelic space folk roots adding dynamic texture to the music and has song writing credit on each track. This album is released through Riot Season records with multiple issues sold out in preorder. The sleeve is beautifully printed with psychedelic poster art art cover. This release is dynamic with fast and slow, noisy and acid folk vibes are in contrast to their previous 9 albums in 2018 which tended toward fast impressive technical rock although (*this is an over generalization.)
“Blue Velvet Blues” is a new song with feedback lead guitar against a clean tremolo backing and high frequency swept synth. The music softens with Tsu’s delicate voice and a backdrop of clean guitar and bleeding controlled guitar sounds blending with the synth. As Makoto’s guitar bubbles in the background it finds a window to come full forward with impressive results.
Acid Mothers Temple easily has 200 releases under various names and has operated as a collective and rotating cast of musicians with Kawabata Makoto being the consistent factor and band leader. In the last 3 years the band has transformed into a new manifestation after a fair steady line-up since the 2000’s. The new musicians are bringing their mind bending talents to the stage and creating a new era of AMT albums which are proving to be high satisfying. The line-up on this album is Kawabata Makoto on Guitar and many other instruments; Higashi Hiroshi on synth, Jyonson Tsu on vocals and guitar, Satoshima Nani drums, and Wolf on Bass.
This album is interesting unique and cosmically mystical. Not to be missed. Great starting point for people new to AMT unbelievable addition to the collection for AMT addicts.
