The Oscillation – Time-Lapse was released on January 1st 2021 on Bandcamp as a Digital Download. The album is dedicated to band member Tom Relleen who passed away in 2020.

The Oscillation – Time-Lapse has deep space kosmische with a krautrock flare. The bubbling, droning synths create a wall of undulating tones that reach into the astral planes. The music is somber, expansive with a sense of lightness behind it.
The Oscillation is from the UK and released their first full length in 2007. Their music is psychedelic rock and shoegaze with fuzz guitars and dense reverb. Time-Lapse is in contrast to much of their catalogue and sticks to droning compositions. Tom Relleen passed in 2020 and he was the heartg of the band and played in several other influential underground groups including Autotellia.
The Oscillation – Time-Lapse sounds like it may have been recorded after Tom’s departure as there are no guitars on the recording. The music is deeply time effected with drones bouncing back in reverse and cascading echoes building atmosphere.
