Anunnaki TBWINIS Split

Anunnaki TBWINIS Split (Anunnaki and The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol)

8 / 10

Prepare to be annihilated by Anunnaki. The song is titled “The Archaeus Cycle parts 1-3, Calling Paracelsus, Mumia, and Hermetic Vibrations a full 30 minutes of music!

Anunnaki The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol was released on May 15th By Cardinal Fuzz Records. Anunnaki and The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol was recorded in front of no audience for a live stream in March of 2020

The composition begins with deep space kosmische and merges into heavy fuzz doom. The guitars rip with stoner riffs while the synth screams into the cosmos. The bass is low range and grinds with heavy metal levels of distortion. The drums drive hard with live room bravado stoking the flames of fuzz loving madness.

Anunnaki has a wonderful formula of bringing the music to a fever pitch and slowing it back to ambient sections of crystalline beauty and depth. The album was recorded live with no overdubs. The flow of the songs is semi-improvisational with defined peaks and valleys. The recording quality is very good on this epic side of the split.

The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol

The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol fills the second half of the split with Mima’s Cosmic Battle and Face Down in the Sour Kraut.

The music build organically with engaging musical textures and seamless modulations. The guitars bubble and swell, keyboards blink and whirl and the drums are played with jazz like instincts.

The abstract composition is excellent and enjoyable continuously engaging while cleanly washing over the listener. The way the whole collective band shifts together is a form of telepathic music. The sound seems to hummers’ and breath with new bubbles of sound emerging from the ancestral ooze.
