Lucidvox We Are is psychedelic rock with folk and heavy doom riffs in the mix. Their music is mysterious and raw. This is an all female band from Russia. Their music is dark and moody with heavy atmospheres and dense layers of instruments. The vocals are harmonized and group sing with a punk rock attitude.
Most of the songs on We Are are rockers with fast guitars and driven percussion. The vocals take the forefront with the dark female vocals. There is a intensity to the album that is somewhat dystopian. The rock scene is Russia has become more robust in the last several years and Lucidvox are a strong band and We Are is an international release coming out of their label in Germany.
Lucidvox brilliantly flavors their heavy rocking music with traditional Russian folk and soaring harmonized vocal sections. The album as a whole has good variety as they move between heavy rock and add some folk flourishes. The percussion and bass give the music a deep heavy feel even when the folk elements are more forward. Much of the album is heavy fast rock music that has a unique flavor.
Lucidvox was formed in 2013 in Moscow as a over band playing Sonic Youth, Pixies and Warpaint. We Are is their first album.
Lucidvox We Are is unique and powerful album that is unlike any other. Theyhave a great sound with rich tones and strong arrangements that push into heavy metal sounds.
