Centre El Muusa

8 / 10

Centre El Muusa has released their debut self-titled record of psychedelic Krautrock! Centre El Muusa was released on May 29th 2020 by Sulatron Records. Brilliant instrumental psychedelic krautrock with its own style integrating in space rock, avant garde and subtle jazz / clean traditional sounds.

The music plays like a soundtrack to a long strange trip with moments of tension, uncertainty and intensity and also times of deep reflection and beauty. All the performances are incredible and the compositions are complex and evolving yet always rock music. In their experimental moments the sounds stretch and can reach self-oscillation. The band can warp time and space as familiar sounds slowly separate and deconstruct into fractal fragments.

Centre El Muusa is from Estonia and features Misha Panfilov. Misha Panfilov is highly prolific and his resume includes psychedelic funk, electronic music, Krautrock and jazz his previous groups include Sound Combo, Estrada Orchestra and Centre Electronique Muusa.

Centre Muusa is composed of 4 members Volodja Brodsky is a co-founder of the band and plays Wurlitzer, Electric piano and Synthesizer. Monika Erdman on bass and Aleksei Semenihhin on drums.

The band was started as a electronic duo known as Centre Electronique Muusa with Volodja Brodsky and Misha Panfilov. Later when Monika Erdman and Aleksei Semenihhin joined the band and Centre El Muusa was born! The music went from electronic to psychedelic krautrock glory.
