Mong Tong Corps Of Light is a retro album with a futuristic sci-fi sound. The keyboards are 80s sheek with rich chorus tones. The atmospheric sound of the album is wonderful soothing and has their Taiwanese influence.
Mong Tong Corps Of Light is instrumental with deep nighttime album with a chill vibe and rich sonic atmospheres. The sound is revolving around keyboards and synth. The sound is 80s Casio style and it could be chill wave dance music if it has a beat machine but instead there is no percussion and it focuses on keyboard sounds.
Mong Tong is from Taiwan and Corps Of Light is the latest EP from this innovative and uniquely exciting band. They make music unlike any other while genre references like krautrock, kosmische, and world music touch on its flavor few bands are craving out new niches in music like Mong Tong.
The first recordings from Mong Tong were released in 2018. Their full length album Mystery was released in 2020 on GURGURUBRAIN Records run by the folks in world psych rock band Kikagaku Moyo.
