Hifiklub, Matt Cameron, Reuben Lewis, Daffodil Rupture is brilliant work of sonic art. The music evolves and presents beautiful hi-fi sound arranged in long form compositions that surprise and delight. They are not concerned with popular music or hit singles the album is one highly considered soundtrack with various movements.
Bold dense synthesizer tones blend with horns, bass, guitars, beats, and drums creating sounds unexpected. Kick back put on your best speakers turn it up and close your eyes for best listening pleasure. The music will transport you faraway from the room and send your spirit off to some unknown places both beautiful and challenging simultaneously.
The music creates a continues forward drive an tension. The first song “Sans Préavis” is a slow building kosmische trip track that is ambient yet highly engaging. The following sounds have their moments of ambience however they grow and build into dark fuzzy rock like sounds that push the envelope.
