Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics Fuzzy Psych Rock

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics was self-released August 1st 2020 on Streaming and February 2021 on vinyl.

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics is a stoned out psych rock album with folk overtones. The guitars are both electric and acoustic and the vocals are sung in a folk melodic tone with a gristled male vocal or a psych rock echo vocal. The album has a vintage vibe with warm fuzz tones and vintage organs. The guitar solos are a big highlight on the album pushing their sound toward fuzz rock.

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics is the first solo album from Sterling DeWeese. He is best known for his work in the band Heavy Hands who released the great kraut desert rock album Smoke Signals in 2008 recorded by the acid folk legend Greg Weeks. That album is very underrated and rare. DeWeese has also performed with Black Fantastic, Madison Electric, Terrapin Gun, and Dirty Rainbow.

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics has very hazy vibe with psyched out guitar tones and retro instrumentation. The guitars are layed with great sounding guitars. The vocals are layered, reverbed and echoed for a smokey sound. My favorites on the album are ‘Easy Alibi’ and Passing Into ‘A Grey Area’.

Ambassador Hazy – Glacial Erratics is an excellent solo debut from Sterling DeWesse. Check it out

About The Psych Rock

Its February and USA has a new president and the psych music is sounding good. Lets just ignore all the problems of the world for just a moment. The Psych Rock is here to help you find new music that is underground and psyched out. From doom to folk and electronic analogue synth drift. The site is populated with artists who push boundaries, experiment with new sounds and blend genres like no one has before.

The musicians on these pages may or may not be able to live as full time artists, in most cases not and now with covid even more so. Make sure you help these wonderful people out and support their music buy their records, grab a download sing their praises.

I have been doing alright working on the website and seeking out new bands and new vinyl. Started selling off some of my records online which has been fun. Working hard on finishing up a solo album of folk rock psych songs recorded right here in my living room. My other band is looking at releasing another full-length of psych rock in the next year or so. Otherwise been laying low staying fairly safe, exercising a lot, serving the whims of my cats and drinking deeply of the awesome music.

Supporting musicians is the name of the game. Buy their stuff and if you have money falling out your ears buy a lot of the most expensive stuff from bands. Give extra on bandcamp. Just Do it! They need you to help keep the great music flowing.
