REZN Chaotic Divine

7.7 / 10 Stoner Doom Space Rock!

REZN Chaotic Divine was self-released on October 1st 2020 on turquoise shimmer double vinyl gatefold, CD and DL.

REZN Chaotic Divine is heavy psychedelic rock with slamming heavy riffs and space rock experimentation. The sound on the album is big and bold with guitars, bass, horns and drums. They move beyond the cookie-cutter formulas of stoner rock and have created something truly interesting while keeping in-touch with their crushing doom metal riffage.

REZN Chaotic Divine is the third full-length album from this four piece Chicago, Illinois band. Their first album was Let It Burn released in 2017 followed by Calm Black Water in 2018. Chaotic Divine is both hard grinding distorted doom stoner rock and also tripped out cosmic rock. The addition of Saxophone and modular synthesizer takes the music in exciting directions.

REZN is most at home in the heavy stoner rock sphere with pumping riffs and sinister guitar leads. The vocals are shouted heavy rock style. The bass hits like thunder with crushing low end tones. The dark doom moods are constant even in the softer sections. Chaotic Divine casts an evil spell over the listener that reflects the strange realities we live in today.
