LIGHT PILLARS is instrumental psychedelic rock with heavy stoner and drudgey doom metal to top it off. The tracks run around 10 minutes with crushing bass, heavy distortion guitar and psychedelic rock styling.
LIGHT PILLARS is a duo from Melbourne, Australia consisting of members Toby Wrecker of Hotel Wrecking City Traders and Gouts on guitar and bass and Andrew Pana of Comacozer on drums. LIGHT PILLARS is their first album. They recorded this debut at Cellar Sessions Studio in Melbourne in a single largely improvised recording session.
LIGHT PILLARS is built on the foundation of heavy slamming drums and tribal distorted crushing bass lines. There are guitars and synthesizers layered over top with lead guitar lines that bring the psychedelic space rock into the mix.
LIGHT PILLARS has a strong album of stoner rock that stays heavy all the way through. The driving rhythms run in hypnotic cycles with deep bass. Overall, its a great underground stoner rock album, make sure to get over to band camp or Sound Effect Records and grab a copy before its too late.
