Mong Tong 夢東 Mystery 秘神 is an eclectic blend of eastern sounds and experimental psychedelic synth and folk rock. The album has many instruments various percussion instruments, flutes, synth, string instruments and more. They have created a sound that is all their own with abstract compositions that are in the vein of Popal Vuh.
Mong Tong 夢東 are brothers born in Taiwan and released their first album in 2018 with a single and split cassette. They have released several albums mostly digital and on cassette making their albums rare. Guruguru Brain is finally giving these guys more exposure for their unique blend of world synth pop and psychedelic rock.
