Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso UFO How Was The Decisive Moment Recorded? Is the premier Japanese underground experimental rock band. Kawabata Makoto is band leader and the master of freak-out guitar and he truly rips the cosmos at its’ tethers with his boiling cosmic guitar style. The songs with molten guitar tones, impossible drumming and haunting vocal arrangements. Is this album really experimental? Yes.
How Was The Decisive Moment Recorded? has two songs live “Blue Velvet Blues” and “Pink Lady Lemonade (You’re The Dancing’ Queen)” making 33 minutes of transportive live underground rock. Recorded live at Tokyo (Nagoya) 8th Dec. 2018. This is the first album from Max Hazard Records started by Acid Mother Temple founders Kawabata Makoto and Hiroshi Higashi limited to 500 copies.
“Blue Velvet Blues” is a dark moody song with whispered haunting sections and dramatic climatic blowouts. the music in this song is hard to describe soft section and harsh raw and emotional guitar with plenty of noise and volume.
“Pink Lady Lemonade” starts out with awesome drum and bass and then the famous riff comes in as repeats and varies through out the song. The rhythm section is really something special on this and the song lifts and processes into an intergalactic beam of light transporting the listener to the other side. This album is a true pilgrimage to the Acid Mother Temple beautiful, profound, disfigured and unafraid.
The level of originality and profoundly innovative guitar playing and song crafting is inspiring. The rhythm section is evolutionary with Nani Satoshima on drums and Wolf on Bass. Jyonson Tsu has contributed greatly to what maybe the best line-up this band has ever had! Grab a copy of this album and remember to support this awesome band!
