The guitars come over top with in-the-moment performances.
Alien Mustangs are from Thessaloniki, Greece and formed in 2013. The debut album Alienation was released in 2018 and Beat Of The Earth is the second full length.
Alien Mustangs Beat Of The Earth has great sound quality and capture the live energy of the band but with studio quality recording. Their cosmic jams are inspired by bands like Loop, Spacemen 3, and The 13th Floor Elevators. They can lay into the fuzz toned guitars and heavily effected vocals. They have a unique sound that blends several related genres of psychedelic rock. 1960’s garage rock is in coherence with shoegaze and motorik krautrock for a sound that integrates psych from each decade.
The music sounds awesome has a high production and recording quality and all the instruments have great body and separation in the mix. The vocals sound moody and distant with heavy reverb. The band follow the shoegaze mantra of fuzz and reverb to the max. The spacious atmospheres swirl and reflect through out the album. The whole album is a pleasure to listen to.
