No Mightier Creatures‘s self-titled debut is an edgy rock album with treble boosted guitar tones and forward vocals. The music is alternative indie rock with some Velvet Underground styled guitar riffs and drones.
This band is not afraid to get post punk or straight up punk rock in style. The lyrics are about power struggles and conflict with the system. The vocals come off like open mic poetry with a spoken feel that is simultaneously melodic. At times it reminds me a little of Micheal Gira of Swans.
The guitars and bass drive the structure of the music and create catchy and interesting compositions and arrangements. Make sure to pick up the vinyl and support the band over at:
