Black Helium The Wholly Other is a hard hitting rocker with lovely distortion and complex tonal textures for you fuzz heads out there! Awesome tones throughout so turn on your soundboards and blast those studio monitors and prepare to be melted by walls of heavy psych.

Black Helium presents a variety of hallucinogenic landscapes on The Wholly Other and has created a sound all their own with music that defies classification (just the way I like my music). This album guides the listener down into the chambers of evil plotting a path through the enchanted woods at night. The trail is lined with heavy distortion, noise rock and evil cult like chanting with the scent of blood in the air. Black Helium spares no victims with its wildly artistic music that plays like a soundtrack for the damned.

The tones and distorted textures are really superb. The music goes in impossible directions but it all feels natural and cohesive; in other words, this album is great start to finish and feels like it is tell a horror story.

They make sure that we have a solid grounding in the psychedelic horror tossing in quotes from psychonaut icon Terrence McKenna, but this album goes way beyond his recommendation of 5 grams of mushroom.

Black Helium is from London, England and they started in 2016 and released its first album in 2018 titled Primitive Fuck. The Wholly Other is the second album from this band and it is their best so far. Both albums were released on the mighty dealer of psychedelic rock music Riot Season Records.
