Dylan Ryan / SAND ‘Light Sleeper is a psyched out song that has the band moving into an experimental kosmic krautrock rock atmospheres. ‘Light Sleeper’ begins as an ambient kosmische soundscape and builds into all out atmospheric space rock. The composition is dramatic and psychedelically cinematic. The electric guitars sustain into the echoing distance and synth and keys develop a rich layered drone. The there are soaring open tone vocals that are drenched in clean reverb adding to the atmospheric quality of the song.
Dylan Ryan / SAND is artistic experimental and captivating. The album is a step forward into new sounds for the band. In the past they composed songs which had jazz, indie rock and progressive orientation. Later they touched on stoner, psych and LA’s signature surf garage psych rock. This album pushes the band into the stratosphere with high production value and dense layers of sound. The synth and echoing voices merge into a glittering tapestry and edgy wild guitars rip into outterspace. The guitar lines utilize many guitar effects precisely aligned to create a variety of mind bending psychedelic guitar tones.
Dylan Ryan / SAND Light Sleeper is one of my favorites by the band and I look forward to hearing more music from them. This song sounds great with its use of effects and the highly effective at winning over music heads into far-out music with shade of krautrock. Make sure to check out Dylan Ryan Sand they have a great back catalogue and ‘Light Sleep’ is a stunning evolution in their sound. The band is always experimenting and challenging themselves with new creative directions.

How am I doing you ask? I am well Looking for more opportunities to share my creative talents. I have been writing a new album for my psychedelic rock band Black Satori, we have some exciting news coming soon! I finished up a home recorded full-length solo album and I am determining how to release it to the world. Its a folk rock album with some psychedelic vibes. My other solo albums can be found under Temple Rose. I have been writing for POWmagazine.org which has been a delight. There I post longer form articles there about music. I am finding new hobbies and looking for more work as well. So it has been difficult to keep up but I appreciate all your support!
