King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Chunky Shrapnel

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Chunky Shrapnel

2 /10 It’s like imagining all the fun you could have had! : )

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Chunky Shrapnel is the first official live album capturing the 2019 world tour for Infest The Rats Nest. But Fuck this, I was suppose to see this band Live outdoors in California, it was suppose to be the best night of live music in history! 3 & 1/2 hours of none stop rock by the “Led Zeppelin” of our time. Instead we get this a fucking awesome live album that I will never be able to play loud enough to pretend I am at a concert; nor will the sound quality be as good.

King Gizzard is one of the most exciting bands in the world today and are highly regarded for their live performances and freaky, diverse and prolific musical styling. This album lets you imagine that you are there with other unknown musical adventures surrounding you encouraging the madness pumping up the excitement, geeking out! With this album you get a non-eco-friendly vinyl which spins in circles, much less interesting then the real thing.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Chunky Shrapnel was released on Flightless Records in Melbourne Australia April 24th 2020.

Chunky Shrapnel is not a complete concert but instead highlights from the tour and it really rips. ‘Planet B‘ from Infest the Rats Nest makes me want to jump out of my skin. The eco-metal message is awesome.

The album contains two new songs ‘Quarantine‘ and ‘Anamnesis‘ which are instrumental songs the former is drone the later is a cheerful instrumental ramble.

Chunky Shrapnel is everything you would want from a live album and shows off everything we all love about King Gizzard which is why I give this 1 out of 10.

That’s right, I said it live albums are nowhere near as cool as live shows.

King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard Chunky Shrapnel is the lowest rated album to ever be on this blog. Better check it out because its awesome!
