Makoto Kawabata, Richard Pinhas, Manongo Mujica, Juan Luis Pereira, Hiroshi Higashi – Alturas is an experimental album featuring memebers of Acid mothers Temple and Avante-Garde musicians from peru and France. The music is dynamic shifting from mellow and spacious to chaotic and challenging. Alturas is instrumental surreal and dream like with free musical movements and diverse instrumentation. Indian bells, feedback guitar, snyth, flute and violin combine in unexpected ways to create music that is totally unique. The album stays atmospheric until the half way mark when the music becomes louder and driven with noisy art rock weirdness.
Makoto Kawabata, Richard Pinhas, Manongo Mujica, Juan Luis Pereira, Hiroshi Higashi – Alturas features members from the bands Acid Mothers Temple, Pinhas, and Heldon. The album is a result of the experimental music festival ‘Integraciones’ organized by Buh Records. The musicians met there and were encouraged to come to the studio to create and album in a single day. The musicians agreed and this rare opportunity because this incredible album with artists from all over the world.

The performers improvise at a high level with high quality recording and tones. Makoto Kawabata is known for his cosmic noise feedback freak out guitar style which is tempered on this release and sees him focused on creating washes of sound with the guitar but he does break through for a few moments with his signature guitar solo style.
Makoto Kawabata, Richard Pinhas, Manongo Mujica, Juan Luis Pereira, Hiroshi Higashi – Alturas was recorded in November of 2017 and completed in 2020 released on a edited vinyl edition of 500 copies on black vinyl. The album will be another rare and special release from the avante noise art underground international music scene a sort of new free jazz for the rockers out there.
