Aquarius Lux – Infinite Korridor is a kraut rock album with eyes set into the warm fuzzy glowing stars. The album kicks off with blazing fuzz riffs weird otherworldly synth. Aquarius Lux gets experimental in a vintage 1970s German style combining groove oriented rhythms, synth and psychedelic space rock guitar. This band goes out the the edge and jumps off with unique transitions and a free form method of composition.
Aquarius Lux – Infinite Korridor has warm vintage tones and a lo-fi feel. The cosmic filter sweeps and rushing analogue styled synth are straight from the 1970s. The guitar also has warm gritty fuzz and motorik rock riffs. The whole production has a home baked feel but in all the best ways. The sounds are warm and inviting while pushing into some high weirdness.
Aquarius Lux is formed from members of The Wyrding Module and Primitive Knot. I know nothing about those bands but I do know that I like this new project Aquarius Lux. Infinite Korridor is the bands first album and what a great debut it is.
A highlight on the album for me is the wild guitars fuzz tones. The valcro distressed vintage warm fuzz sounds awesome. At times the music usees sounds that are difficult to dissect. It can be hard to determine if that sound is a guitar with loads of FXs or a synth getting funky. Sometime there are two guitar other times one. The bass guitar might not exist in some tracks but is forefront on others. The sound on the stream used for the review gets a bit muddy with crispy edges but I am sure the sound would be smooth and beautiful on vinyl… If only I always had vinyl to review all the reviews would be better because it all sounds better on vinyl so make sure to get yours at The Weird Beard!

Aquarius Lux – Infinite Korridor is a gem. It is another great addition to the psyched out jams that have been blasting off in 2020. This band has a style that will appeal to folks who enjoyed the albums from of The Band Whose Name Is a Symbol, White Manna, Korb, Tambourinen, and may even appeal to the 70’s kraut rock lovers with bands like CAN, Ash Ra Temple, Agitation Free.
