Received this incredible package from Submarine Broadcasting Company after reviewing their album from Iyari called Horzo. All three of the albums feature strange otherworldly experimental drone and folk music. Really far out stuff. Iyari Hozro was released on August 17th 2020 on Submarine Broadcasting Company.
Iyari Hozro is dark droning music with echoed, looped guitars and minimalist experimentation to create textured soundscapes. The music is beautiful, mysterious and magical. The guest vocalists sing in beautiful ancient tones that make a tingling sensation rise up the spine.
Iyari is Josep Mateo of Barcelona, Spain. Horzo is the fifth album released by Iyari. Horzo was an opportunity to expand the music into new territories previously unknown and bring on guest musicians from around the world.
Hozro has a timeless acid folk sound that is relaxed, droning, and soothing, The mysterious atmosphere is deep and introspective tapping into the mystical paradox of existence.

I hear all the time from artists that they have found new bands and music on the page and that they value this resource. Many express that this genre is underappreciated and they are thrilled that thepsychrock focuses on small and independent music. With the ads I can honestly see why most sites do not focus on this genre because its not a multi-million search click genre but that is not my motivation. I am searching for great music I love and that I can share with the world and most of all I want to help artists reach more people and feel inspired. With several thousand visitors each month I feel that its well worth the effort.
If you are an artist that wants to be on the page please go to the contact page and email me. I love hearing new music and the email is the primary way I discover new music. I receive a lot of emails and this is not my full -time job so there is a good chance it could take a while for me to respond. If for some reason your music does not end up on the page its very possible that the email simply landed at the wrong time and I encourage your to send a follow up as it increases your chance of getting on the page. I do need to manage my time carefully so there is no way I can write about everything.
