Neon Lemon is the solo project from Ben Siebert of Austin, Texas. Look Outside is the second release from Neon Lemon and their self-titled album came out in early 2020. Austin, Texas is a hot bed for psychedelic rock and I can hear a bit of local inspiration from psych heroes The Black Angels and Christian Bland and the Revelators in their sound.

Neon Lemon Look Outside is psychedelic rock with the classic reverb on everything philosophy, echo worship, modulated vocals, and trippy effects all around. I think of acid blotter art when I look at the album cover art and I think this may have been intentional.

With Covid and all the states of emergency raging in the USA many artist are finding the time to complete their solo home recorded projects while stuck at home and reaching out to me here at ThePsychRock.com with the fruits of their labour. I can say a number of these new projects are awesome and Neon Lemon is one of my favorite new artist to emerge in this new trend thus far.

Look Outside was mixed by Jonas Wilson at Mr. Pink Records it takes the album to the next level with great finished production. I personally cannot believe a label has not picked this one up but labels often overlook great bands. As of now it is a digital only release that begs to be on vinyl.
