KORB II is space rock with kosmische synth that propels the music into deep space. The live drums and groove bass lines lay the motorik foundations then echoing guitars and forward synth blast off into the cosmos. They have found a prominent place on the new trend of vintage 1970s progressive synthesizer tones that could have come out of Germany’s original krautrock scene. Korb II takes listeners into the void, grab a copy and prepare yourself for a cosmic journey.
KORB from the UK and this album is the follow-up the their great self-titled album released in July of 2018 on Dreamlord Recordings This emerging artist takes krautrock and coats in vintage synth tones and kosmische stylings. KORB is a duo with Jonathan Parkes and Alec Wood, they create lush music with layers of arrangements and well produced songs.
KORB II has elevated their sound to new heights. ‘Mega Structure’ is one of my favorite tunes of this album but every track is as great as the last. This album is bursting with creativity, experimentation and beautiful tones and is best listened to cover to cover. Go far-out get lost in the universe of sound available on KORB II.
