Uchū 1st was released on vinyl in July of 2020 in and edition of 325 from Max Hazard Records.
Uchū translates to universe and the music is ambient spacious and beautiful. All the sounds are made by guitar and voice. It features Higashi Hiroshi, Kawabata Makoto of Acid Mothers Temple & Ayano.
Uchū 1st was originally released in 1998 on CD-R in a edition of 100. This new vinyl edition is the first time on vinyl. The music is beautiful and oceanic. This is not a AMT album, the music is continuously mellow with ever shifting and growing compositions.
The guitar parts remind me of some of the famous droning riffs from ‘Pink Lady Lemonade‘ or ‘Cometary Orbital Drive‘. The music is otherworldly but not challenging it feels open and spacious organic like a prayer or plants singing songs.
