Las Historias self titled debut album is here with heavy psychedelic rock that really rips. This new young band from Argentina have their own sound from the start and made a excellent debut with all the energy of a live performance.
Las Historias is heavy psych rock with with heavy blues, stoner rock, doom and psychedelic rock influences. The guitar solos are ripping with wah, fuzz and univibe tones inspired by Jimi Hendrix. The riffs coming outta the Black Sabbath school of rock. This is not all heavy hitting stoner rock it has its softer moments that are a dynamic contrast to its heavy riffage.
The music is strongly melodic with the guitar leading the forward melodies with the bass and drums hold down the groove. The album is mostly instrumental the with lyrical vocals that echo and enhance the music. The bass takes it over the edge toward doom tones when he kicks on the fuzz.
Las Historias are an emerging band from Córdoba, Argentina. They formed in 2018 to begin writing and completed the band lineup in 2019. This is their first album and it is awesome showing great hope for the future. It was originally planned to be a self-release but they were picked up by Electric Valley Records and revamped the tunes and added a new track for this official vinyl edition.
