Ancestro self-titled album is a heavy psychedelic hard rock monster. It includes heavy riffs, spacey synth and experimental noise all with a stoner rock front facing. The technical guitar playing is in the style of psychedelic prog-rock making for expansive songs with dynamic composition. Ancestro likes the distortion and fuzz and gets sludgy with doom at times.
Ancestro blends many streams of music together with-in the psychedelic and heavy stoner rock genre and does so with style. The music sounds wonderful well recorded and performed. The music is unique to Ancestro, there are many heavy psych bands today but this stands out.
Ancestro is from Trujilo, Peru and this self-titled album is their 3rd release all from Necio Records. The vinyl is coming out on July 10th 2020 get yours.
