Lamp Of The Universe Dead Shrine is psychedelic folk drone rock with incense smoke swirling in the air and a deep spiritual psychedelic atmosphere. The music is a meditative journey with flow moving closed eye visuals coming your way via New Zealand!
The use of guitars, world instruments, drone and harmonized vocals creates a unique psychedelic vibe. The music draws the listener into a trance and scales up to drive you deep into the mysteries.
The vocals have a cultish devotional chant like drone. The percussion is often soft tapping on a drum with a tambourine lightly touched. The organs and synths swirl creating continues flowing breath in the music.
Lamp Of The Universe Dead Shrine goes deep and is another awesome album from this established band. Lamp of the Universe formed in 1999 and has released a number of great albums most recently Align in the Fourth Dimension from Sulatron Records one of my favorite acid folk albums of 2019. They are based in New Zealand and are self described as “acid folk / psychedelic / space rock band.”
