Sonic Boom All Things Being Equal is electronic music by Peter Kember (Spectrum, Spacemen 3) his first album in 30 years. The music is uplifting, positive, euphoric, experimental and indie pop. The lyrics are politically informed with songs that encourage listeners to think about what is meaningful using positivity and immersive electronic arrangements.

Sonic Boom‘s album is a triumph and will live on as a classic in my collection along side my Merry Weather Pavilion from the Animal Collective. Listening to the singles from the album I was wondering if the optimism was escapist but it is not. The lyrics encourage listeners to imagine a better world to find change inside and out and to activate positive memories to find peace and strength.
The electronic arrangements are beautiful, the beat machines are programmed masterfully with no harsh sounds in fact much of the rhythmic drive is from the bumping bass. This album is a gem, lighthearted mostly radio friendly and can make you sing and dance and will make you want a synthesizer!
The album is a “solo” project by Peter Kember (Spectrum, Spacemen 3) with guest appearances from Panda Bear (Animal Collective). This is his first album in 30 years but during that time he has contributed production, writing and arrangement to hundreds of songs. His experience is heard on All Things Being Equal with incredible writing, composition, arrangements. The packaging for the album is also at the same level as this incredible music.
