Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O Feat. Geoff Leigh Chosen Star Child’s Confession is the latest from this unbelievably prolific musical project. Chosen Star Child’s Confession features Geoff Leigh on flute and saxophone giving the album a distinctive flare among the hundreds of releases from Acid Mothers Temple and its many manifestations.
The music has re-envisioned favorites like Cometary Orbital Drive this one is called the Christal Trigger 2199 edition and has new vocals built on that classic riff that they play at every live performance.
“Diamond Eyes Are Hurt” has jazz influences both in the instrumentation and the vocals. The song starts out with surprisingly traditional music with a acid mother temple weirdo bent. As the song evolves it explodes into wild saxophone solos and cosmic freak out guitar of Kawabata Makoto.
Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O Feat. Geoff Leigh Chosen Star Child’s Confession was recorded in London and Japan 2018 and 2019. This was just one of the albums to emerge from these recording sessions. Reverse of Rebirth Reprise (Link Below) also features Geoff Leigh on flute. The music on Reverse of Rebirth Reprise is psychedelic acid folk rock with free flute, cosmic synth and acoustic instruments.
Chosen Star Child’s Confession is a space rock odyssey traveling into the familiar territories AMT has excavated and reaching into new realms with a cleaner sound, bare in mind that the old AMT music was insane noise chaos freak-out madness similar to the final track on this album “Infected J Also Live Beast Catastrophe”
Acid Mothers Temple has been pushing the envelope for the last 30 years and has managed to released hundreds of albums while continuously evolving and creating new sounds. Many years AMT released 10 or more albums on labels around the world and every year they did a North American tour in the Spring. AMT is dedicated and cannot will not stop making artistic strange and wonderfully challenging music. The albums they have released in the last few years are some of the most accessible and honestly some of the best in my opinion.
