Acid Mothers Temple has the wildest most experimental acid rock on the planet. This album contains the best rendition of Cometary Orbital Drive. Acid Mothers Temple has released over 200 albums since its formation in the 1990s. Kawabata Makoto is the lead guitar player and is considered a legend in the Japanese rock scene with a distinctive style which has influenced many musicians.
Side A is Cometary Orbital Drive 2299 by Kawabata Makoto. This classic song is a constant in live performances and continues to morph and evolve. With the latest line-up, Cometary Orbital Drive goes 200 years into the future. Featuring the same mystic progression as its predecessors and a steady build into cosmic insanity. This rendition is true to the live experiences at Acid Mothers Temple concerts with exceptional recording quality. The song has more dance appeal than ever with Wolf and Nani.
Side B features Third Eye From Black Sun And Shadow Moon by Cotton, Tabata, and Kawabata. This is a new song which has three main sections. It begins with an epic guitar riff coated in fuzz and verb whaling and driving forward and defining the melody. Cotton Casino comes in with high range vocals summoning the cosmic ships. The guitars continue to let loose in free-flowing fashion Kawabata executes outstanding guitar solos which seem impossible to replicate. The song suddenly changes into a progression much like Led Zepplin’s Dazed and Confused, then something reminiscent of CAN Mushroom in lyric with guitars in the background making a discordant beautiful arrangement to end the piece.

Kawabata is true to form with his unique and powerful guitar stylings. The new line-up has been fully inducted into the Acid Mother Temple band with S/T, Nani, Tabata and a guest appearance from original Acid Mother Temple member Cotton Casino.
